Blaze Watch is an AI-powered project created by a group of first-year students who have personally witnessed the rise in large-scale wildfires across Canada. Disturbed by the growing threat, we set out to build a tool that could help communities respond faster and smarter. Using our machine learning model trained on geographic patterns and geospatial analysis, our system provides real-time predictions of how forest fires will spread. Our goal is to support emergency planning, speed up response efforts, and protect local communities. We want to help prevent displacement and bring hope amid the devastation often seen in the media.
Our mission is to detect wildfire threats sooner, improve response times for emergency services, and help reduce the impact of wildfires on people and the environment.
